Welcome to the great big little city with a bright future. Belton is located on U.S. 71 Highway at the crossroads of Missouri Route 58 in northern Cass County. Belton is approximately 24 miles southeast from the epicenter of downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  Just minutes away from the Truman Sports Complex, home of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. With its friendly, hometown atmosphere, top-notch schools and booming business community, Belton offers the best of all worlds.

Belton was founded in 1871, Belton has a rich history which includes the Shawnee Indians, the Civil War Order Number 11, The Dalton Gang, Carrie Nation, Dale Carnegie and Harry Truman. Belton’s historical old town has a newly renovated Main Street, antique shops, novelty stores, eating establishments and is home to the Belton, Grandview and Kansas City Railroad that operates a museum and short train rides during the months of May through October.

Belton’s location gives businesses a prime opportunity to have the ideal location for commerce. Its proximity to the Richards-Gebaur Intermodal International Freight Center and Inland Port of Call along with abundant acreage for development and easy access to 71 & 150 highways are just a few of the reasons that Belton is the place for your business to be. Belton is known for low taxes, outstanding schools, great quality of life and small town ambiance.
